News Flash #1: Potter and The Dragon

 

        Good morning folks, this is Sima Simpson, the worlds number one best reporter, reporting from the stadium at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It is the first task of the Triwizard Tournament, and Harry Potter, the fourth, youngest contestant, commonly known for surviving the killing curse at the age of one years old, is about to face off a dragon in attempt to capture the golden egg. So far, Cedric Diggory, the other Hogwarts contestant, managed by turning a rock into a Labrador. Viktor Krum, world famous quidditch player and contestant for Durmstrang Institute, hit his dragon in the eye with a curse, and Fleur Delacour, the Beaxbaton Academy contestant put the dragon in a trance. All have retrieved the golden egg. How will Potter approach this challenge?

Here he comes now! The kid looks like he’s going to puke. He’s raising his wand. Is he going to try and stun the dragon? That certainly won’t help. He’d have to have six trained professionals helping him. Wait, is he doing a summoning charm? Yup, it’s a summoning charm, there’s something flying this way. Is it a broom? Yes, it’s a broom! Potter’s mounting, and he’s kicked off! Oh, clever, look’s like he’s trying to tempt the dragon away from her eggs. The dragons not moving though. No, wait, scratch that! The dragons spreading its wings, its taking off! They’re soaring through the air, looping, diving, feinting… Wow, Potter can fly! Oh, Potters making a break for it! He’s going to make it! He’s going to make it! Yeah, I wouldn’t want to be him right now, that dragons furious. Screeching, blowing flames.  Oh! Potter just got cut by one the spikes on the dragons tail, poor kid. But he’s got the egg! He’s got it! Looks like they’re taking him to the hospital tent to get that cut checked out. Well, there you have it folks. Potter has survived the first task!
