A Word About Boredom

Dear Diary,

Today, I was bored, and that got me thinking. What is the point of boredom? Why should anyone have to be bored? So I wrote this paper to show why no one should be bored.

When you have nothing to do-you get bored.

When you have a particularly dull job to do-you get bored.

When nothing exciting or fun happens-you get bored.

And yet, why? Why be bored, when there are so many fun things to do? Why sit around and do nothing when there are books to read, stories to write, pictures to draw, songs to sing, games to play, a world to discover.

So why just sit around when there are interesting things to do?

Why be bored by a task? Why not make it fun?

Why wait for something to happen? You want something exciting, no better way then to get it then to create it yourself!

Speaking of, I have so many fun things to be doing right now!

A Word About Time

        Dear Diary, Today, I was thinking about the strange concept of time. I mean, what is it? It was really bugging me, so I came up with several things to what time is. 60 seconds is a minute. That’s time. 60 minutes is an hour. That’s time. 24 hours is a day. That’s time. The herb in you spice cupboard. That’s thyme. Time ticks. Time tocks. Time flies. Time runs out. Time has many uses. It can be used for doing something or doing nothing. Things can be done in time and on time. Time can be wasted, raced against, given, taken, saved, lost, and spent. Things tend to go faster when there is very little time and will sometimes slowdown when there’s time aplenty. And thyme also tastes good in food. So… What is time? Sincerely, Sima
