Book in a Nook

I wrote this the same day I wrote "Never Liked Me", (Meaning today) so I guess I'm just feeling really poetic today. I was bored in class, and a random string of words was running threw my head. I picked up my pencil and jotted it down, then realized I had a pretty good start for a poem. I continued it, and it came out a bit longer than expected, but I think it's one of my best poems yet!

Book in a Nook

I took a look

Into a book.

And in the book

I saw a crook.

I took a look

At the crook in the book

And looked as he took

A book from a nook.

Then came the cook

Who owned the nook

And the book in the nook

that the book crook took.

And I looked in my book

As the cook told the crook

Not to take his book

from his cookbook nook.

And I looked as the crook

Told the cook that he took

The book from the nook

Just to take a look

And learn how to cook

From the book in the nook

That was owned by the cook

Who lived down by the brook

In my book.

Said the cook by the brook

Who owned the nook

that held the book

that the crook took

you may take a look

at the book in my nook

in my house by the brook

and learn how to cook

from the book

from the nook

 from the cook

 by the brook.
