The Star and the Heart: By Surprise Guest Author

I don't want to be accused of plagiarizing, so let me make it clear that I did not write the next story, even if the blog has my name on it. No, the following story was written by our surprise guest author, a special guest, who worked very very hard to write an excellent story for the blog. 

Ladies and gentleman, please give a hearty round of applause too... (Drumroll please 🥁)

And so, without further ado, the story of The Star and the Heart, complete with illustrations! 



Once upon a time, there was a Star and a Heart. They were best friends.  

One day, they had a fight over who was the prettiest. 

"I am the prettiest." the Heart said.  

"No."the Star said. "I am the prettiest."  


They were angry at each other. 



The next day they said sorry. 


They were friends again, and they lived happily ever after.

A Word About Time

        Dear Diary, Today, I was thinking about the strange concept of time. I mean, what is it? It was really bugging me, so I came up with several things to what time is. 60 seconds is a minute. That’s time. 60 minutes is an hour. That’s time. 24 hours is a day. That’s time. The herb in you spice cupboard. That’s thyme. Time ticks. Time tocks. Time flies. Time runs out. Time has many uses. It can be used for doing something or doing nothing. Things can be done in time and on time. Time can be wasted, raced against, given, taken, saved, lost, and spent. Things tend to go faster when there is very little time and will sometimes slowdown when there’s time aplenty. And thyme also tastes good in food. So… What is time? Sincerely, Sima
